Lon las Cymru : Anglesey to the Severn bridge by bike

My first post is a tentative toe in the water.

I have tweeted quietly for a few years but wanted to share my interests wider, prompted by my plans for a big cycle ride in just over a month’s time. Plans for equipment, route details and accommodation have started to crowd out other spare time thoughts. The internet is full of advice but aggregating it, while fun, and fascinating, is not an efficient process. Blogs have been one of the best sources of really good advice.

CyclingEurope.org is definitely top of the list and well worth reading, even if you have little or no interest in cycling.

So, one motivation for blogging is to make life easier for others following this path.

Yes, and maybe for one or more comments to make it easier for me!

I have the raw materials : a mountain bike (to be modified: watch this space), and the Sustrans maps, arrived today!

So let’s press the ‘post’ button and see what happens!
